Nope, I don't read the manga. I have been told from many reliable sources that the anime for Naruto is a great translation and usually superior.
Also, couldn't they have chosen a better look for Sasuke's power? Come on... SSJ4?

-So- many better animes out there. Samurai Champloo, Elfen Lied, Tsubasa Chronicles, Suna Bouzu.
You may not have seen these yet because they aren't on cartoon network yet though >.>

The Manga's much better. I generally just fast forward through the new episodes to watch the animated fight scenes, that's about it. In everything else the manga has the upper hand.

I've been told from Manga readers that after this arc Sakura finally becomes useful.

Naruto can't use any of that stuff until he's been beaten absolutely senseless. I meant "raw power" in terms of inherent physical power and agility...of which Sasuke obviously has more of. Naruto has good reflexes and can take a lot of punishment...but I don't think he can quite take as much as kimimaro . Kakashi is just cool
I've also heard that after this story arc Sakura goes and learns some new trix (won't ruin it for the rest of you)

This is a fun brainless anime...you should give it a chance on a rainy day, but looking at some of the stuff you posted, you should watch Samurai Deeper Kyo...vry good anime. I'd recommend Saikano as well if it wasn't so inherently creepy.

I disagree on this anime being brainless. It is far deeper than most anime these days. It has a very strong pension for telling the backstories of its characters both heroic and villainous to get you involved in their struggles.

Helsing is quite good. To bad Seras is all but useless, I really really liked her. But please, keep this a Naruto thread.

I agree -- Naruto does a great job of delivering back story in pieces to keep you interested. By the end of a story arc, I can't help but empathize toward even the most evil and heartless of characters. Even Orochimaru is humanized by the way the Fourth sees him just before he dies -- as a wide-eyed, innocent child.
Secondly, about the whole Naruto v. Sasuke debate. I'm only in the middle of the Gaara v. Kimimaro fight, but I'll say this much: Naruto's whole deal isn't that he's the best ninja, it's that he's got the most heart. That's what will make him a legendary Hokage. His ability to inspire others is his greatest gift, and no other character in the series comes close to him in that respect. Sasuke is more talented, but he's also a jerk, self-centered, and overconfident. I doubt he will, but here's hoping he gets what he deserves at some point.

hellsing's good.
champloo was good. i dont know why it was ended/short though. maybe a movie coming? i hope...
back to naruto.
the movie. since i only saw it when it was available via BT. was pretty good. it did repeat the same stuff in the weekly series (which isnt bad cuz the movie did come out 1st b4 the new content came in the series. wouldnt want to give examples, in case ppl didnt see the movie yet or the series parts that interrelated...), but it was still great to watch.
the fights were a bit short and sweet or too ez for "them". that i would have liked it w/ a lil more complication, but i guess they didnt want to reveal any new skills they had and was saving them for the series. all in all, im still not tired of watching different parts of the movie.hehe.
(*spoiler* maybe..)
anyone watched the extra Naruto special.some sports event thing.(which i think was shown infront of the movie in theaters when it came out) it was pretty funny. most of the "bad guys were there"- that was cool. and i thought there's even a "4th hokage" look alike in it too.
The naruto vs. sasuke.
atm. sasuke's got his newer skills intro. and naruto's gotten an "addition" to his already intro'd kyuubi powers. again. i think their still both balanced in skill/power, because from watching these parts of the series, theyve gone through alot of different things that cant be considered "equal", and cant be solely judged on what their current situation is on atm. ( i wont go into detail to not spoil anything...watch the epis again.)
so. ive read it. ive watched it so far.cant wait for the next epi. let's discuss the next epi after it comes out. it should be a good one.
*end transmission.

Is Champloo really only 19 eps then? I thought my download site was just really really slow.
That is disappointing. Anything from the minds of the people behind Cowboy Bebop is pure gold.

Having just watched episode #134, it ended roughly how I hoped it would. No spoilers here from me, not until more of you see it. I was quite happy with it.
My ONLY disapointment was in (This is kind of a spoiler) Sasuke's transformation. What kind of crazy webbed hand/wing thing was that? Jeez, just give the guy 2 black wings or something... those were just terrible looking imo.
Anyone know who that was watching the fight? Was that the leader of that other group?

About Champloo, they stopped at 19 because they stopped airing them before the christmas vacation. It continued in like Januari. The ending episode was Nr. 26. Try looking on Baka-updates.com for them.
About Naruto: Nice fight.. but they totally ****ed up Sasuke's second level seal, in my opinion. He looks like a freakin' girl. (And that huge hairdo isn't really flattering him either. =P)
